Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbek footballer Abdukodir Khusanov has been named the best player of the French club Lens in 2024.

He received 77% of the votes in a poll conducted among the team’s fans. Other nominees included Austrian defender Kevin Danso (9%) and French goalkeeper Brice Samba (15%).

Khusanov joined Lens in 2023, and in the current Ligue 1 season, he has played 13 matches. He is also a defender for the Uzbekistan national football team.

It is worth noting that the 20-year-old Khusanov has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City. The player’s transfer value is estimated at 30 million euros.
