Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - As part of the World Bank mission to strengthen the social protection system, representatives of the delegation visited the National Center for Rehabilitation and Prosthetics for Persons with Disabilities and the Inspectorate of Medical and Social Expertise of the Almazar District, where they got acquainted with the conditions created in these institutions and the process of providing services, as well as a system for providing the population with prosthetic and orthopedic products and technical means of rehabilitation.

Representatives of the delegation also visited a family charity house located in the Uchtepa district. Representatives of the delegation were provided with detailed information about the activities of this type of family orphanages, including the conditions of admission taking into account the specifics of children.

During organized meetings with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Prosecutor General's Office and the National Guard, issues of social protection of minors, prevention of violence against children, development of social services for children in need of social protection, as well as the creation of a system monitoring of childcare services for children from vulnerable categories of the population were considered.
