Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the initiative of the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, and the Agency for Space Research and Technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the State Corporation Roscosmos, JSC Russian Space Systems and JSC Glavkosmos, a webinar was held on the topic "Application of remote sensing data in various sectors of the economy."

The webinar was attended by heads and specialists of the central offices of ministries and departments, enterprises, organizations and institutions.

The purpose of this event was to discuss the application of Earth remote sensing technologies in the republic, as well as the development of geoinformation products on their basis, cooperation in various scientific and practical research, and the study of foreign experience.

As noted at the meeting, the use of remote sensing technologies in the era of development of information and communication technologies, as well as the development of geoinformation products on their basis, is a powerful tool for the development of the world economy and the introduction of digital technologies in various fields.

At the same time, there is a great need for a wider implementation and use of geographic information systems to improve the efficiency, quality and efficiency of ministries, departments and business entities.
