Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new plant for the production of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks has been commissioned in Urgench by Arton Urgench Invest LLC.

The project, valued at US$16 million, has an annual capacity of up to 200,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks.

The technological equipment was supplied from China, while the required raw materials — quartz sand, lime, cement, and gypsum — are sourced from local producers.

The plant is expected to generate annual exports worth US$3 million to Central Asian countries. With the launch of the enterprise, 200 new jobs have been created for young people.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by regional governor Jurabek Rakhimov, veterans, and representatives of the local community.
