Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Law enforcement officers discovered in one of the apartments in the Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent about 400 kg of raw materials for the production of synthetic drugs, as well as finished drugs worth US$900,000. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Service (SSS) Uzbekistan.

It is noted that two citizens, born in 1986 and 1988, with higher education and working in logistics, organized an underground laboratory in their apartment for the production of synthetic drugs.

In the laboratory, law enforcement agencies found 56 packages of Mephedrone with a total weight of 26 kg, as well as 400 kg of raw materials and equipment necessary for the production of synthetic drugs.

Law enforcement authorities established that the equipment, raw materials and precursors used to manufacture drugs were imported from abroad. The detainees sold the finished products through social networks.

A criminal case has been initiated on this fact under articles 246 and 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The investigation is underway.
