Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 22 June, a KamAZ truck collided with four passenger cars in Parkent district of Tashkent region.

According to the Tashkent Region Department of Internal Affairs, the accident occurred on the 56th kilometer of the 4R15 highway "Krasnogorsk — Parkent — Yangibazar," opposite the central market.

The passenger cars had stopped in front of a pedestrian crossing to let pedestrians pass. The truck driver failed to brake in time and collided with a Chevrolet Lacetti, then continued moving, damaging two Cobalt and one Spark cars.

Pedestrians crossing the road managed to move away from the vehicles in time.

The Department of Internal Affairs notes that the 24-year-old truck driver violated traffic rules by not maintaining a safe distance and speed. The Traffic Police of the district is conducting an investigation into the incident.
