Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 November, a truck caught fire on one of the roads in the Samarkand region, according to the regional Traffic Safety Department’s press service.
The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on highway 4P-46, which runs through the Kattakurgan district.
The fire was caused by a short circuit in the engine compartment of a GAZ-53 truck.
Emergency services promptly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident, but the truck was completely destroyed by the flames.
Law enforcement authorities have launched an investigation into the fire.
The Traffic Safety Department has urged drivers to regularly inspect the technical condition of their vehicles to prevent such incidents.
