Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In one of the schools in Margilan, an English teacher threw a phone at a student’s head because he went to the toilet without permission.

The incident occurred at school No. 29 in Margilan on 5 March.

Children’s Ombudsman Surayyo Rakhmonova reported the incident after receiving a video recording of the incident. The recording shows the teacher treating a wound on the student’s head.

The English teacher, 24-year-old M.E., taught classes from the fifth grade. One of the students, 12-year-old U.J., asked to leave the classroom to go to the toilet, but the teacher did not respond to his request.

After the boy left the classroom, the teacher, angry that the student had left without permission, threw a phone at him, injuring his head.

The school nurse provided first aid to the victim, treated his wound and bandaged his head.

The boy went home. His mother took the boy to the hospital, where he received the necessary medical care.

The district department of internal affairs is conducting a pre-investigation investigation into this incident.
