Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In the center of Stockholm, on the famous Drottninggatan Square, our compatriots living in Sweden organized a PR campaign to popularize and promote the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

National Uzbek melodies performed by the Sogdiana Chamber Orchestra of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan sounded on the square.

The PR-action, organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany and compatriots, aroused great interest among tourists.

As part of this event, our compatriots conducted a survey “Do you know Uzbekistan?” In which they asked questions about our country. Those who correctly answered the questions were presented with souvenirs with the inscription "Uzbekistan".

“The State Committee for Tourism Development is striving to organize more and more similar events in other cities, as they help increase the flow of tourists visiting our country,” said Abdurahmon Atakulov, a resident of Stockholm.

It is worth noting that earlier State Committee for Tourism Development held special PR events in Germany, the Czech Republic, Russia and the UAE.

Drottninggatan Square is the main square in Stockholm and is known in Europe as Royal Street. It has a large shopping center, which is visited by an average of 16,000 tourists and locals every day.
