Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 2 MW was put into operation at the Ferghana combined heat and power plant (CHPP);

The project operates in the "On-Grid" mode and generates an additional 5 million kWh of electricity and saves 1.2 million cubic meters of natural gas per year. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

As a result, it will be possible to save fuel resources and reduce the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere.

The project was implemented in order to ensure the execution of the instructions of our President, given to expand the number of alternative energy sources.
