Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A small industrial zone will be opened in Akhangaran district of Tashkent region, which will unite 26 projects.

On 4 March 2024, a meeting was held in a video meeting organized by the Uzcharmsanoat association to discuss the implementation of the tasks provided for by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 531 regarding the sale at electronic auctions of land plots of a small industrial zone in the field of leather and fur production in Akhangaran district.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Uzcharmsanoat association Fakhriddin Boboev, representatives of the executive office of the association, the head of the state institution for the management of small and youth industrial zones under the khokimiyat of Tashkent region Nurbek Radjabov, the khokim of Akhangaran district Erkin Mukhitdinov, his deputy Golib Eshmirzaev, the head of the auction center department of the JSC "Organizations of online electronic auctions" Abbos Abdullayev, as well as entrepreneurs working in the leather industry.

At this meeting, the procedure for placing projects on land plots of a new small industrial zone in the Akhangaran region was discussed. They noted the importance of efficient use of every hundred square meters of land and minimizing the impact of production facilities on the environment. The issues of enterprise participation in auctions and land allocation were also considered.

The construction of a small industrial zone in the Akhangaran region involves the implementation of 26 projects and the creation of a leather and footwear cluster worth $30 million.

At the time of the meeting, applications had already been received from entrepreneurs to implement projects.

The meeting participants agreed on the implementation of a daily “road map” to speed up the implementation of projects in the Akhangaran small industrial zone.
