A roundtable held in Tashkent with the participation of entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Slovenia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Tashkent, as part of a visit by a delegation led by the Executive Director of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Marjana Majerič, a roundtable discussion and B2B meetings were held with the participation of business representatives from both countries.
During the negotiations, the current state of trade and economic relations between the two countries and the prospects for their development were discussed.
The event was attended by 19 representatives of Slovenian companies operating in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, tourism, IT, chemicals, machinery, and construction, as well as around 50 local companies from Uzbekistan and representatives of industry associations.
The event was moderated by Dilshod Rasulov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, who emphasized that in recent years, trade and economic cooperation between the business communities of the two countries has significantly intensified.
Also participating in the event were Peter Japel, Deputy Director of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, Executive Director of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Marjana Majerič, and Acting Director of the Slovenian Business Development Agency SPIRIT, Tamara Zažes Balažis, who shared their thoughts on the further development of bilateral cooperation.
During the roundtable, presentations were made on investment opportunities in Uzbekistan, prospects for cooperation in the pharmaceutical and energy sectors, and the business environment in Slovenia.
At the end of the event, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia to strengthen bilateral cooperation. Additionally, B2B meetings were organized as part of the roundtable, providing entrepreneurs with the opportunity to engage directly and reach promising agreements.
Such events between the business communities of Uzbekistan and Slovenia contribute to the further strengthening of economic ties between the two countries.
