A regular meeting of the Working Group to monitor the economic situation in the CIS member states was held in Moscow

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 November, a regular meeting of the Working Group was held at the Branch of the CIS Executive Committee to monitor the economic situation in the CIS member states and prepare specific proposals for possible responses to emerging problems (using video conferencing).

The meeting was devoted to the implementation of the List of Joint Response Measures to Emerging Problems, approved by the Protocol Decision of the CIS Economic Council from 10 June 2022.

The meeting was attended by representatives of state bodies and institutions of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the CIS sectoral cooperation bodies involved in the implementation of the activities of the List.

The meeting was chaired by I.T. Nematov, Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee, who, in his opening remarks, noted the importance of implementing the List for the development of economic and trade cooperation between the CIS member states, indicating that this issue was given special attention during the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government from 28 October 2022.

M.Myskin, Director of the Department for Economic Cooperation of the CIS Executive Committee, made a report on the implementation of the activities of the List. He thanked the CIS member states and the CIS sectoral cooperation bodies for the information provided on the implementation of the activities of the List. It was noted that since the adoption of the document, work has begun on the implementation of all items of the List, significant results have been achieved for a number of them, and plans for their implementation have been developed for others. Actions requiring more active work were noted.

The meeting participants were invited to consider the advisability of supplementing the List with activities requiring implementation, and submit relevant proposals to the CIS Executive Committee.

Information on the implementation of the List will be considered at a meeting of the Economic Affairs Commission under the CIS Economic Council on 16 November and presented at a meeting of the CIS Economic Council on 2 December 2022.
