Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Preschool and School Education of Uzbekistan, together with the Ministry of Energy and the Uzbek-Japanese Youth Innovation Center, launched a pilot project ENE Kids to save water and electricity, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education said in a statement.

More than 500 seventh grade students from 11 selected schools in the city of Tashkent and Syrdarya region take part in it.

The project helps develop children’s skills in efficient use of energy and water and demonstrates the benefits of saving resources throughout the country.

It is worth noting that such initiatives encourage the younger generation to contribute to solving environmental problems.

As part of the project, Japanese expert Yuki Yanagida organized trainings for teachers of experimental schools.
