Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 43rd General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) was held in Thailand. After the introductory part, the main issues included in the agenda were discussed. In particular, changes were discussed that would be made to the OSA constitution and put to a vote of delegates.
The event was attended by OCA Vice President Otabek Umarov and NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov on behalf of Uzbekistan. It should be noted that work to amend the OSA constitution has already begun a long time ago and Oybek Kasimov was included in the commission from the Central Asian region. The changes made to the constitution were unanimously approved by all National Olympic Committees.
This was followed by presentations on preparations for the upcoming complex competitions. Special attention was paid to the Asian Youth Games Tashkent 2025. Otabek Umarov noted that the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev pays special attention to this project, and with the help of the government, full preparations are underway for the important competition. Then, those present were shown a video showing the high potential of Uzbekistan in hosting the Asian Youth Games. Next, Oybek Kasimov presented general information about the Games. In particular, such key points as the date of the competition, sports, cities and facilities where the competition will be held, conditions created for guests, and the transport and logistics system were discussed. The participants highly appreciated our presentation.
During the General Assembly, presentations were also made of the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which are to be held this year in Bangkok and Chonburi (Thailand), the Asian Winter Games Harbin 2025, and the Asian Summer Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026 " With this, the 43rd General Assembly of the OCA completed its work.
