A play “Threads of Silk” to be presented in England
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International theatric project “Threads of Silk”, which was presented at International Theatre Festival “Theatre.UZ/2012”, was included to the programme of British Festival TakeOff, which will be held in Durham, England, on 10-14 November.

The project is conducted at support of British Council in Uzbekistan, International Association of Theatres for children and youth ASSITEJ and Fund Forum.

Representatives of Great Britain, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan participated in production of the play “Threads of Silk”. The play was presented in Tashkent on 2 October 2012 within the festival Theatre.UZ/2012.

Written by Camila Abdurakhmanova and produced by British director, Paul Harman, the project is about four women of different ages and backgrounds who challenge and address the stereotypes and preconceptions of women in Central Asia.

The festival TakeOff is largest event of children and youth theatre event in England. In last 25 years, the festival attracts children, young people and all those, who interested in youth theatre.
