Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A passenger aboard Uzbekistan Airways flight HY686, traveling from Sochi to Tashkent on the night of 31 December 2024 to 1 January 2025, was held accountable for violating on-board conduct rules.

According to the airline, the man consumed alcoholic beverages, reacted aggressively to flight attendants' remarks, causing discomfort to fellow passengers, and engaged in inappropriate actions toward the staff.

It was reported that the passenger harassed a flight attendant by slapping her on the buttocks.

Upon arrival in Tashkent, security officers from the Transport Security Administration at Tashkent International Airport were called to the flight, where they conducted an investigation and forwarded the case to court.

The court found the passenger guilty under articles 41-1 (Sexual Harassment) and 187 (Consuming Alcoholic Beverages in Public Places). The man was sentenced to five days of detention and fined 1 basic estimated value (375,000 soums at the time of publication).
