A panel session was held on the topic "Creative Economy as a Cultural Dividend"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A discussion on "Creative Economy as a Cultural Dividend" was held as part of the Economic Forum of Uzbekistan 2022.

Of great interest is the panel discussion "Creative Economy as a Cultural Dividend", which focuses on this rapidly growing sector of the global economy. The cultural institutions of our country also strive to contribute to its development at the national and international level.

The purpose of the meeting is to provide a platform for active representatives of the creative industry to promote the development of creative industries and strategies through the introduction of new interdisciplinary approaches and cooperation between museums and the creative sector.

Actual aspects of the topic were considered by the Executive Director of the Fund for the Development of Culture and Art under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan Gayane Umerova, the former Director General of UNESCO, and now the Director of Whiteshield Partners Irina Bokova, the Head of the Trade and Services Development Section of UNCTAD Dong Vu, the head of the international art fair Art Dubai Benedetta Gion and other delegates.

Among the main issues are the change in the main mission of museums in recent years, the impact of creative industries on the economy as a whole, tourism and the image of the country on the world stage, new interdisciplinary approaches and opportunities for cooperation. The participants explored the development strategy of these industries and its practical implementation through museums, fairs and cultural events, especially in the context of Central Asia.
