A number of Russian airlines have requested permission from Uzbekistan for new flights

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Nine Russian airlines have expressed interest in opening new flights to Tashkent. This was reported by the Federal Air Transport Agency.

A number of Russian airlines, including Aeroflot, UTair, IrAero, NordStar, Ural Airlines, Smartavia, AZUR Air, North Wind and Yakutia, have submitted applications to organize air travel.

Aeroflot is in the lead with 11 applications submitted for new flights, while UTair, IrAero, Ural Airlines and Smartavia plan to open 7 flights each. “NordStar” submitted 4 applications, “North Wind” - 3 applications, and “AZUR Air” and “Yakutia” each submitted 2 applications for flights.

Seven airlines have applied for direct flights between St. Petersburg and Tashkent, with plans to operate from 2 to 7 flights per week.

In addition, airlines, including NordStar, Rossiya, Smartavia, and Yakutia, submitted 7 and 2 applications, respectively, for flights from Krasnoyarsk to Tashkent.

There is also an expected increase in the number of flights between Moscow and Urgench, as well as additional flights to Bukhara, with Russian airlines submitting 39 applications for weekly flights to Urgench and 5 additional flights to Bukhara.
