Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of a visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on February 6 this year, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov held a meeting with Minister of Planning and Investment of this country Nguyen Chi Dung in Hanoi. The meeting agenda focused on the development of investment cooperation.

During the meeting, the implementation status of a number of joint projects in the field of food and soft drinks production, as well as the prospects for the implementation of new project initiatives were discussed. These include electric power industry, production of chemical products, textiles, electrical engineering and construction materials. It was agreed to create a joint working group to prepare a program of industrial cooperation between the two countries.

During the conversation, the parties noted the importance of further enhancement of the regulatory framework between Uzbekistan and Vietnam in the field of investment and taxation.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed mutual readiness to deepen cooperation in practical implementation of the agreements reached.
