Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new head of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Surkhandarya region has been appointed.

Colonel Timur Ismailov was appointed head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Surkhandarya region.

Before this appointment, he worked as head of the department for combating terrorism and extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

In this post, he replaced Colonel Abduvokhid Ismoilov, who headed the Department of Internal Affairs of Kashkadarya region.
