A new deputy chairman of the Central Bank appointed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abror Mirzo Olimov has been appointed as the new Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, according to a presidential decree.

Olimov will oversee international cooperation, currency regulation, financial and economic activities, management of international reserves, as well as the storage and handling of precious metals. He will also be responsible for the operational activities of the bank.

Additionally, Olimov will coordinate the operations of the Republican Currency Exchange.

Prior to this appointment, Abror Mirzo Olimov held the position of Director of the Department of Currency Regulation and Balance of Payments at the Central Bank.
