Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 12 February 2023, a new agreement was signed between the Afghan Railway Administration and Sogdiana Trans on the continuation of the operation of the Hairaton - Mazar-i-Sharif railway.

As previously reported, these days in the city of Termez, negotiations are being held between delegations of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari, Sogdiana Trans, and the Afghan Railway Administration on issues of further cooperation.

According to the new agreement, Sogdiana Trans will carry out its activities for another two years in these areas.

In addition, the parties agreed to accelerate the joint restoration of the delivery of goods to the Mazar-i-Sharif terminal station and to train local specialists from the Afghan Railways Administration.

It should be noted that 714 freight cars were delivered on 10-11 February. To date, the delivery of goods continues, according to the information and analytical media center.
