Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin was presented a project to introduce a national system of mandatory labeling of goods in Russia. Marking of goods - a special digital code guarantees the authenticity, quality of goods and product traceability. The main task of the system is to increase the level of security of Russians, to combat counterfeit and low-quality analogues.
The labeling project covers 12 product groups.
It is mandatory to mark: fur, tobacco, shoes, medicines. By the end of 2020 will be joined by: photographic goods, tires, perfumes. From January 2021 - light industry goods and dairy products. 270 thousand companies are registered in the system, the number of codes issued is 20 billion.
The preliminary approbation of the product labeling system has shown its advantages in the following main factors.
First, the market is becoming more transparent, the tax base is expanding. For example, the shoe market was previously estimated at 400 million pairs, but since the beginning of labeling, more than 1.3 billion pairs have been put into circulation.
Second, labeling discourages illegal trade. Thanks to the introduction of labeling, the work of "black pharmacists" was revealed, selling subsidized drugs intended for other regions. In this regard, receipts to the budget of excise taxes for 7 months increased by 54 billion rubles.
Thirdly, the level of efficiency of the control and supervisory work of the state has increased - the digital marking platform provides a continuous exchange of information and response to violations in real time.
In addition, consumers began to actively participate in civil control, 1.2 million people. independently checked 13 million codes and received all the data on the goods.
In general, according to experts, the introduction of product labeling in Russia will help the state see the real state of affairs in the country’s economy by monitoring the turnover of goods and the purchasing power of the population. Analysts believe that the labeling of medicines can be assessed positively, as this limits access to the market for counterfeit drugs.
