Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 March, a mudflow washed away a 47-meter section of the road adjacent to the bridge on the 4K-271 Ruskishlak - Makrid - Minzhir highway across the Ayakchisay river in Kitab district in Kashkadarya district.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

District emergency response personnel arrived at the scene. With the help of special equipment and concrete slabs, the river bed was cleared, and the section of the road washed away by water was filled with a sand and gravel mixture. Traffic on the bridge has resumed.

Currently, the repair of the bridge is in its final stages.
