A month of Uzbek films entitled “Youth and Cinema” starts in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 10 February, the National Agency “Uzbekkino” hosted an opening of the monthly Uzbek national film screening “Youth and Cinema” at the Alisher Navoi cinema.

Within a month, Uzbek national films will be shown in Tashkent under the motto “Youth and Cinema”.

The event, organized by the Uzbekkino National Agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, the Ministry of Public Education and the Youth Union of Uzbekistan, was attended by the Agency’s leadership, employees of ministries and youth organizations, well-known filmmakers, journalists and students.

As the President of Uzbekistan noted, “we must effectively use the incredible potential of cinematography, which today is the most popular art in the world, when there is a struggle between different forces for the struggle of ideas and ideologies around the world, the hearts and minds of people, especially young people.”

“Today, the audience is increasingly absorbing visual information. Using national films to help create a feeling of national warmth in our country is a wise decision, ”said Uzbekkino head Firdavs Abdukhalikov.

After the opening ceremony, the premiere of the film "Elparvar", which tells about a courageous young man of the Khorezmshah era, was held.

The best national films shot by the Agency in recent years will be shown in the Alisher Navoi cinema every day at 15:00 and in national cinemas across the country. Creative meetings with directors will also take place.
