Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 25 September, a new sports facility, a modern judo hall, built on the territory of secondary school No. 7, was opened in Samarkand.

The hall was built with the assistance of the khokimiyat of Samarkand region, the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan, the Judo Federation of the country and the company "Falcon Hunting Solutions".

The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov, Deputy Khokim of Samarkand Region - Head of the Main Department for Tourism and sports Batirjon Nurullayev, deputy chairman of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, chairman of the country’s judo federation Azizjon Kamilov, head coach of the national team, the youngest Olympic champion in the history of judo, the legendary Ilias Iliadis, one of the heroes of Tokyo 2020 Davlet Babanov.
