In the structure of the Ministry of Defense in Urgench, the Military Academic Lyceum named after Jaloliddin Manguberdy in the form of a state institution.

The main tasks of the lyceum:

the formation of students' deep respect for spiritual and educational values, culture, customs and traditions of the people, such qualities as honesty, decency, patriotism, devotion, selflessness;

development of a broad outlook, intellectual potential, creative and analytical thinking among students, the formation of solid knowledge in natural and exact sciences, foreign languages and modern information technologies, as well as teaching them basic knowledge of military affairs;

preparation of worthy candidates for admission to higher, higher military and paramilitary educational institutions for the formation of physically developed, hardy, courageous and courageous defenders of the Motherland, with oratorical and leadership qualities, as well as a reserve of personnel for the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan and public service.

The lyceum is a secondary specialized educational institution, admission and the educational process in it begin from the 2023/2024 academic year. The duration of the educational process is two years, the annual admission quota is 150 people.
