Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the National Agency for Social Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Mansurbek Olloyorov, director of the agency, takes part in the first meeting of ministers responsible for the social protection policy of member countries of the Organization of Turkic States, which takes place on 16-17 May in Istanbul.

The event on the theme “Against globalized world threats: our family is our future” is being held to discuss and develop joint actions that will form the basis of a declaration in response to global and regional social challenges.

During the visit, the Head of the Agency held a meeting with Mahinur Ozdemir Guktas, Minister of Family Affairs and Social Services of Türkiye, during which issues of improving the quality of life of citizens, protecting the rights of children, women and the elderly, as well as expanding the population’s access to social services and assistance were raised .

As a result, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the social protection authorities of the two countries.

The document confirms the parties’ intentions to cooperate in the field of social protection, exchange of experience and implementation of joint projects. Particular attention is paid to the use of information technology to optimize social assistance processes.

Dynamic joint work in the field of social protection and exchange of experience highlight the importance of international cooperation, opening new horizons for joint initiatives between Uzbekistan and other countries in the region.
