Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyar Islamov received a delegation led by Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zamirbek Bazarbekov.

During the meeting, issues related to improving the judicial system, strengthening the role and authority of the judiciary, as well as ensuring the independence of the courts, training of judges and the introduction of information and communication technologies in the activities of the courts were discussed.

The parties also agreed to regularly exchange legal information and conduct consultations on other issues of mutual interest.

During the meeting, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, which defines the legal basis for the relationship between the Supreme Courts of both countries in the judicial and legal sphere.
