Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 October, the Ministry of Economy and Finance hosted a meeting of Abdukodir Ekubov, Director of the Project Implementation Department of the Public Private Partnership Department of the Ministry, with a Turkish delegation consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Trade and the Business Council for International Technical Consultations (DEIK) The Council for Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey, headed by the Chairman of the Business Council Munis Uzer.

The delegation included the heads of the leading technical consulting firms in Turkey, such as “Botek Bosphorus Technical Consulting Corp.”, “BS Engineering, DOLSAR ENGINEERING”, “NKY Architects & Engineers”, “PROYAPI”, “SU-YAPI Engineering & Consulting Inc.”, “Teksan”, “TEMELSU”, “TMA”, “ÜÇER” и “Yüksel Proje”.

The purpose of this meeting was to get acquainted and discuss possible bilateral cooperation in the field of public-private partnership (PPP).

At the beginning of the meeting, Abdukodir Yakubov told the guests about the structural reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan and briefly gave information about the progress of PPP projects.

In turn, the representatives of the delegation gave detailed information about major investment projects in 144 countries in the fields of healthcare, education, water supply, construction, etc.

The Council for Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey (DEIK) is a voluntary business organization whose activities have been aimed at strengthening the private sector of Turkey since 1985.

Paying special attention to “Business Diplomacy”, DEIK works on the development of foreign economic relations of the Turkish private sector, seeking opportunities for both foreign and domestic investments and expanding bilateral trade between Turkey and its potential partners.

During the meeting, the possibilities of participation of Turkish investors in the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan were discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the parties thanked each other for the productive dialogue and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
