Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 October, the First Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Islam Jasimov met with the Director General of the Malaysian Technology Development Corporation (MTDC) Norkhalim Yunus and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia in Uzbekistan Hendy Assan.

This meeting was organized as part of their visit to Uzbekistan from 15 to 24 October to discuss the allocation of funds for financial and technical assistance to the relevant state institutions of the republic that carry out activities in the field of scientific research and commercialization of the results of ongoing work.

MTDC was founded in 1994 with the aim of developing and implementing innovative technological solutions (know-how) for the industrial sector, financing scientific projects in this area and conducting specialized trainings and seminars for government officials, including foreign countries.

During the conversation, issues of bilateral business development between our countries were discussed, and Mr. Norhalim Yunus expressed gratitude to the Chamber for cooperation in preparing for the 3-day seminar "Acceleration of the implementation of Industry 4.0 technology in micro, small and medium-sized enterprises", which will be held from 19 to 21 October at the International Business Center in Tashkent.
