Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Commerce of the PRC took place at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

During the high-level dialogue, the technical and economic parameters of the Innovative Educational Fund project being created at the educational institution were discussed.

China is one of the leading economic partners of Uzbekistan and is a country with great potential. According to statistics, the volume of mutual trade between our countries today has reached US$9 billion.

It is important to note that bilateral relations are dynamically developing based on the values of mutual trust and equal consideration of interests.

The head of the Academy welcomed the Deputy Head of the Department of International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Zeng Hua Cheng, and noted with satisfaction the high interest in the project.

In relations between Uzbekistan and China, strong trust and a spirit of sincere friendship take precedence. The two countries are effectively cooperating in all areas, highly appreciating the strategic partnership.

“In particular, the parties pursue common goals in achieving global security, ensuring sustainable economic growth, jointly fighting regional and international threats, and solving existing problems in this regard,” said the head of the Academy, Rustam Khatamov.

In turn, Mr. Zeng Hua Cheng expressed sincere and friendly gratitude for the meeting. He noted that over the past period, intensive work was carried out to accelerate the construction of the "Innovative Education Fund".

On the basis of intergovernmental agreements, project documents were developed and reviewed in the prescribed manner. In December 2022, a bilateral agreement was signed between the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.

At present, the land plot on which the facility will be built, design estimates and other technical specifications have been agreed. The Chinese side is interested in the timely and high-quality completion of the project.

During the dialogue, an exchange of views took place on the importance and technical and economic aspects of this project, which is being built at the expense of grant funds from the People’s Republic of China.

According to the press service of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the parties recognized the importance of the "Innovative Educational Fund", which has no alternative in Central Asia, with its modern capabilities and opens the way to future large-scale projects.

On this day, members of the delegation got acquainted with the educational process of the Academy. Advanced approaches to personnel training, conditions created for students and cadets, work carried out within the framework of the Smart-Akademiya platform, especially promising projects aimed at developing digital education, made a great impression on the guests.
