Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting with a representative delegation from China was held at the Uzcharmsanoat Association.

It included leaders and representatives of large Chinese companies intending to invest in Uzbekistan.

The increased interest from Chinese investors is due to the recent visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the People's Republic of China and the business forum held within its framework, where the potential of our country was presented.

At the beginning of the talks, the guests from the Celestial Empire were given detailed information about the current state of the industry, prospects and development potential, all-round state support received by investors investing in the development of the leather and footwear industry.

The meeting was held in the format of a question-and-answer session. The guests were interested in various details of doing business in Uzbekistan: from the procedure for obtaining land to the types of taxes paid by business entities.

Today, more than 100 enterprises with the participation of Chinese capital operate in the leather and footwear industry of Uzbekistan, mainly engaged in the production of leather and footwear, leading export activities.

The number of foreign companies and joint ventures with China is expected to rise sharply in the near future. Recall that recently a cooperation agreement was also signed with an investor from China to create a leather and footwear industrial zone for Chinese enterprises on 60 hectares of land in the Tashkent region.
