Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 20 July, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Davron Vakhabov and the Chairman of the Committee for Eastern Europe of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce Stefan Mirko.

During the meeting, the foreign side expressed great interest in the market of Uzbekistan to establish cooperation in trade, economic and educational areas.

In particular, Stefan Mirko proposed the creation of the Uzbek-German Economic Chamber between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Hamburg, which will facilitate the implementation of joint projects with the direct involvement of entrepreneurs, using specific support modules.

This platform will contribute to the development of trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Germany and actively promote Uzbek agricultural and textile products to European markets.

Also, the intention to cooperate in the field of dual education was announced, in particular, an agreement was reached on the implementation of a project in the field of training qualified personnel by sending them to Germany.

In addition, the foreign side informed about the upcoming visit on 13-15 September of the delegations of German Chambers of Commerce and Entrepreneurs headed by the Head of the Foreign Trade Department of the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry Volker Treyer.

The main purpose of the upcoming visit is to exchange views on the current state and prospects for cooperation in trade and economic relations between Uzbekistan and Germany, organize meetings with leading enterprises of Uzbekistan, and conduct negotiations on establishing bilateral cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
