Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 September this year, at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Kuchkarov held a meeting with representatives of the World Bank delegation headed by the World Bank Regional Director for Central Asia Tatyana Proskuryakova. This was reported by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

At the beginning of the conversation, along with the reforms carried out in the country in the economic and social spheres, the parties discussed promising projects of the World Bank, as well as the development of DPO-6.

DPO (Development Policy Operation) is a low interest concessional loan provided by the World Bank to support the implementation of important economic and social reforms that accelerate the country’s transition to an inclusive and competitive market economy.

In addition, the issue of developing urbanization and land reform programs, as well as improving existing ones, was considered. An exchange of views was held on the elimination of problems in areas with shortage of water, as well as on the repair of channels through which water seeps underground.

At the end of the meeting, officials of the ministry and the World Bank comprehensively reviewed the above projects and agreed on cooperation in their implementation.
