Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 18 January this year, a meeting with representatives of the USAID mission in Uzbekistan was held at the office of the Association of Private Tourist Organizations of Uzbekistan (APTO).

Chairman of the APTO Gulchehra Israilova met with Yulia Sandu, Acting Director of the Office for Economic Development and Environment of the USAID mission in Uzbekistan, as well as with technical experts of the USAID mission in Central Asia, Laura Chizmo and Svetlana Golovatskaya.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the APTO project “Development of CBT tourism in Uzbekistan, by improving the professional competencies of rural residents. Phase 2” under the USAID Future Growth Initiative (FGI). APTO specialists provided information on the work done under the project for January 2023.

Following the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further cooperation within the framework of USAID regional projects.
