Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During a meeting with Assistant Director General of the International Labor Organization Miya Seppo, issues of further improving the social protection system through the introduction of international labor standards were discussed.

Mia Seppo welcomed that the Strategy until 2030 adopted in Uzbekistan reflects important measures, such as ensuring employment of the population, supporting entrepreneurship, eliminating informal employment, and social protection of workers.

At the same time, taking into account that Uzbekistan, as a pioneer country, is implementing the “Global Accelerator for Job Creation and Social Protection” initiative put forward by the UN Secretary-General, an agreement has been reached on the implementation of specific projects in this direction with relevant government organizations.
