Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 29 April 2023, a meeting was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry M. Adilov and the observer of the national referendum, the Director of the Friendship Society "Uzbekistan-Canada" Z. Abdultaif.

During the meeting, the state of trade and economic relations between our countries and the potential for developing cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and business entities of the country were discussed.

Z. Abdultaif noted that there are areas of contact between our business circles, including in the field of mining, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and tourism.

M. Adilov commented that there are much more areas of cooperation than those mentioned and by joint efforts it will be possible to realize the potential of cooperation and achieve an increase in figures in trade turnover.

The parties also discussed issues of establishing cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two countries, including at the interregional level, in order to identify points of contact between the business circles of our countries.

Following the conversation, it was agreed with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan to send full information about the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in order to familiarize Canadian organizations with our activities.

Moreover, Mr. Z. Adbultaif issued an invitation to the October event in Canada and during the visit also organized meetings with major regional chambers of Canada (Montreal, Vancouver, etc.)
