Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan with a delegation of the European Union, the United States and Great Britain led by David O’Sullivan, the EU Special Representative for Sanctions.

At the meeting, representatives of the Central Bank presented information on measures taken to prevent sanctions risks in the country’s banking sector.

Constant interaction with commercial banks was noted in order to improve and strengthen sanctions compliance. The possibility of providing technical support to bank employees to improve their skills in the field of sanctions compliance was also considered.

The parties agreed to continue a constructive dialogue on the issues discussed.
