Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis on International Relations, Foreign Economic Relations, Foreign Investment and Tourism Ravshanbek Alimov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of Uzbekistan Valeriu Chiveri.

During the dialogue, the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Moldovan relations were discussed, in particular, issues of consistent development of trade, economic, investment and inter-parliamentary relations.

The parties noted the great untapped potential of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, as well as the importance of taking stock of the legal framework.

The Moldovan side expressed interest in intensifying inter-parliamentary relations, effectively using the format and mechanisms of interaction through parliamentary friendship groups.

At the end of the meeting, the ambassador emphasized his readiness to make every effort to raise bilateral cooperation to a higher level.
