Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodik Safoev met with the Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, who arrived in our country to participate in the Tashkent International Investment Forum.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for further cooperation, including the expansion of trade and economic ties between Uzbekistan and the United States.

Particular attention was paid to the creation of a strong legal framework that will help attract both large and small investors who will contribute to sustainable economic growth.

It was also noted at the meeting that an effectively functioning judicial system is necessary to stimulate business development and attract foreign investment. The parties noted that legal stability and reliability play a key role in attracting investment.

According to Carolyn Lamm, the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan, including those aimed at developing business activities and strengthening guarantees for foreign investors, increase the confidence of foreign entrepreneurs in our country and make them want to do business in Uzbekistan.

During the dialogue, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
