Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 19 April, in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry D.Vakhabov and the Deputy Minister of Food, Agriculture and Forestry of Bavaria H.Bittlemeier.

The Chairman of the CCI spoke about the latest changes in the activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and stressed that these changes will certainly serve to increase the confidence of Uzbek entrepreneurs and foreign investors in doing business in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany, including the federal state of Bavaria. The parties also discussed the potential for cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the German representative of BayWa AG made a short presentation on the company’s activities, as well as on the digitalization process in the field of agriculture, which, in turn, interested the Uzbek side.

Also, a professor at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT) presented the learning process that combines theory and practice in the two countries, as well as the possibility of obtaining a double degree from the universities of the two countries. Also, the professor noted the possibility of training not only for students, but also for workers employed in the field of agriculture.

The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the farmers of our country are interested in improving their skills based on the experience of German companies, as well as in studying their practice.

In order to further implement the agreements reached during this meeting, the parties decided to consider the possibility of organizing a meeting in Germany to study the German experience in agriculture, as well as to work out additional opportunities for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the federal state of Bavaria.
