Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with Denise Metz, regional head for work with Germany, Austria, the countries of Northern, Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia of one of the most influential US publications "The Wall Street Journal" (WSJ).

The meeting was attended by advisers to Minister Temur Mirzayev, Lola Rakhmanbayeva and Deputy Director of the National PR Center Bahodir Shakirov.

The WSJ representative highly appreciated the reforms to develop tourism and preserve cultural heritage in Uzbekistan. In addition, he expressed a desire to cooperate in promoting the tourism potential of our country and noted that this would be important in attracting investors to the industry.

At the meeting, Denise Metz made a presentation of the magazine and put forward her proposals regarding the prospects for cooperation. The parties exchanged views.

Representatives of the Ministry noted that strengthening cooperation with foreign publications is important for creating a positive image of Uzbekistan and attracting tourists to the country, noting that Ms. Metz's proposals will be considered in detail.
