Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A worker fell from the 15th floor of a construction site and died from his injuries in Tashkent on 17 January, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan said.

The incident occurred at about 16:30 in the Yangi Darkhon mahalla of Yangikhati district of Tashkent.

According to preliminary data, during construction work a man accidentally fell from the 15th floor of a 16-story construction site.

As a result of the fall, the man received a closed abdominal injury, rupture of the spleen and liver, a pelvic fracture, and hemorrhage in the abdominal cavity.

Despite medical assistance and the efforts of doctors, the worker died in the hospital.

Law enforcement agencies are conducting investigations to determine the circumstances and causes of this incident.
