Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A 40-year-old man has been detained in Tashkent for assaulting a 21-year-old sales clerk at a flower shop.

The incident occurred in Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent.

According to the press service of the Tashkent City Police Department, the man’s name is Khurshid Akhmedov.

He had previously been convicted under Article 165 (extortion) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.

Two nearby individuals, aged 21 and 22, attempted to calm the man and prevent the conflict. However, he attacked them, causing them bodily harm.

Law enforcement authorities have initiated a criminal case. The investigation is ongoing.
