Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 January, a fire occurred in a building materials store in Sergeli district of Tashkent, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan said in a statement.
The fire started at 14:56 on Kanora Street, and by 15:01 four fire and rescue crews had arrived on the scene. At 15:05 the fire was localized, and at 15:12 it was completely extinguished, the department notes.
According to the data, a store was burning near the Qipchoq and Turon stations of the Sergeli metro station.
No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Experts are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and determine the extent of damage caused.
The fire did not affect the operation of the metro, which continues to operate as normal.
