Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 16 January, five family members were found unconscious in the Uchtepa district of Tashkent, the Prosecutor General's Office of Uzbekistan said this in a statement.

On 16 January, at about 17:00, the regional internal affairs bodies received a message that five citizens living in Tashkent were found unconscious.

After examining the scene of the incident, the operational investigation team learned that the 36-year-old mother and her 3-year-old daughter had passed away.

The head of the family, a 39-year-old man, was hospitalized in serious condition in the toxicology department of the Russian Research Center for Emergency Medicine. He died a day later, despite emergency medical care.

Two girls, aged 12 years and 8 months, were also found unconscious and admitted to intensive care. Their condition is assessed as serious.

Various medicines and food products were seized from the apartment. An examination has been ordered to determine the causes of death of family members.

The Uchtepa district prosecutor's office opened a criminal case. Investigative actions are ongoing.
