A diesel locomotive collided with a bus in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In Sergeli district of Tashkent, a diesel locomotive collided with the rear section of an articulated King Long bus on route 11.

The incident occurred on 29 May at approximately 15:50 at an unregulated railway crossing on Kumarik Street.

Representatives of the Toshshahartranshizmat company noted that the bus driver did not violate traffic rules. He stopped at a stop sign and began driving along with other vehicles.

In addition, the company noted that there was no controller at the crossing who could regulate the movement of vehicles when trains were approaching.

The joint stock company "Uzbekistan Temir Yullari" noted that the diesel locomotive TEM2-1959 from the locomotive depot "Uzbekistan" moved along the Kumarik - Airport crossing, maintaining the set speed, without losing vigilance and giving warning signals.

According to the company, a passenger bus, which violated road rules, drove through an unregulated railway crossing, ignoring the STOP sign and other warning signals. This led to a collision with a locomotive.

No one was injured as a result of the incident, but the bus was damaged.
