A delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in the "NATAS Holidays 2023" tourism fair

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- "NATAS Holidays 2023" international tourism fair, one of the largest tourism events in Southeast Asia, was held in Singapore. The Delegation from Uzbekistan participated in it as a target partner. The delegation included representatives of the Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan, "Uzbekistan Airways" JSC, as well as famous masters of the country and creative teams of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan.

At the opening ceremony of the fair in Singapore, an ambassador from the Republic of Uzbekistan Kahramon Shokirov made a speech in which he emphasised the efforts of both governments to expand cooperation in various spheres, including tourism.

During the three-day fair, Uzbekistan’s stand presented products of the country’s leading craftsmen and organised musical performances by representatives of Uzbekistan’s culture.

In addition to Uzbekistan, the fair was attended by tourism organisations from China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Maldives, Macau and other countries.

Uzbekistan’s stand evoked great interest among Singaporeans as it was a completely new destination, different from their traditional trips to South Korea, China, Japan and other countries of the Southeast region. The interest of Singaporean tourists is due to the fact that the Great Silk Road in ancient times passed through Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, all of which, in turn, were listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

More than 107,000 participants visited the fair over the three days, and the Uzbek side reached lucrative agreements with a number of tourism organisations.
